In this episode of Run with Fitpage, we had the pleasure of hosting the first Indian to get a Green Number in the prestigious Comrades Marathon. Vikas and Satish discuss about Satish’s journey from being a chain smoker, to quitting smoking and becoming one of the most respected long-distance runners in the country today.
Satish Gujaran is the founder of RunWithSatish and is also associated as a director with Network Twentyone. His first-ever half marathon in South Africa was a DNF, but, today he has run 29 Ultramarathons, 40+ Marathons, and 35+ Half Marathons in his 18 years of running so far. Satish is the only Indian to complete 11 consecutive Comrades, which is also known as the ULTIMATE HUMAN RACE. He has earned himself Green Number which is the permanent bib number for India. Satish helps runners fulfill the dream of finishing the Comrades marathon. He would help and guide them not only to qualify for the race but also handhold with proper training and pace strategy for the big “C”.
